Roger passed away in December 2022. Alison, his wife, shared the following with the orchestra:
I want to convey just how much you all meant to him.
He loved the time he spent with you on Tuesday mornings, rehearsing and introducing new musical challenges. I’m sure there were times when you all thought his expectations were a bit much!!
He had great belief in your abilities, and that showed each time you performed a concert – you never let him down. He was so very proud of your achievements.
